HeatSeek Privacy Policy

HeatSeek is built to be private by design. It monitors your device's thermal state, logs when it heats up, and helps you keep it cool. Everything it records stays on your device.

No accounts, no servers

HeatSeek has no sign-in and communicates with no backend server. There is nothing to log into and nowhere for your data to be sent.

Data stored only on your device

Thermal events and charging sessions are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). The Heat Dial widget reads this data through a private on-device App Group container. None of it is ever uploaded, backed up to our systems, or shared with us or any third party.

No tracking or analytics

HeatSeek contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no usage tracking. We do not build a profile of you and we do not know how you use the app.

Local notifications

All alerts — thermal warnings, charging-safety reminders, and the daily summary — are scheduled entirely on your device by iOS. No push notification server is involved and no notification content leaves your phone.

You control any sharing

Data leaves your device only when you explicitly choose to export it (Settings → Export data), which produces a file that you then decide where to send. HeatSeek never transmits your data on its own.

Deleting your data

Because all data is stored locally, deleting the HeatSeek app from your device removes all of its data. There are no copies stored elsewhere.

Children's privacy

HeatSeek does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here and, where relevant, within the app.
